Alabama native Ms. Mahamed is a trailblazer in the tech and nonprofit sectors with over 20 years of expertise in Software Information Technology. A graduate of the School of Engineering and Technology at Tennessee State University, she holds a Master of Science from Strayer University and boasts numerous certifications, including the cutting-edge field of AI Technology. Throughout her career, she has led diverse teams from ideation to execution, building innovative software solutions for Fortune 500 companies.
As a visionary leader, Ms. Mahamed founded FootSteps of Grace Inc. and co-founded Royal Table Inc., two nonprofits dedicated to uplifting underserved communities in Tennessee. At Royal Table Inc., her passion for youth empowerment shines through. She developed a hands-on STEM curriculum and, alongside her son, created transformative financial literacy programs for youth aged 6 to 24. Together, they also lead a Youth Entrepreneurship Program that equips students with vital life skills and entrepreneurial know-how. Annually, she cooks and organizes a Community Thanksgiving Dinner for those in need.
In addition to her work in nonprofits, Ms. Mahamed is a highly respected SCORE Mentor, member of Nashville Cable and served as Tennessee Chapter President for three consecutive years with Recession Proof where mentees are taught essential topics such as investing in stocks, wealth-building strategies and more. She organizes events on Disaster Preparedness, feeding the homeless, coat drives, and more in the community.
